#41 – Ferrell Sanders (b.1940). Nickname Pharoah. American jazz saxophonist. Albums include: Karma (1969), Thembi (1971) and Black Unity (1971).
Sanders is a prominent figure in the development of free jazz. Some pieces are very easy to listen to, some of it takes off in different directions leading to pieces that are more challenging. This idea of deviation led to the idea of changing the shape of the letterforms.
